This sneak is over-due…I’ve had some machine problems and was put on stand-still until my replacement came in.  I am still not 100% where I was, but at least I can get some work done.

Baby L is easy going, happy, and oh so pretty!  Her grunts kept us all laughing throughout the session.  She’s grown so much since our session last fall: she’s got some pretty pearly whites, added solids to her expanding menu, and is on the go, crawling all over the place.  I can already tell her one year session is going to be a blast, but I’ll need some tennis shoes to keep up with her  She’s a pleasure to work with, and you can just tell there’s so much love in her precious family.

I met baby D’s parents a couple of months ago when I did their maternity session.
You wouldn’t know they are first time parents – they handled him like seasoned pros! He’s so adorable and has the most kissable lips, and cutest wavy hair. Just like the last few newborns I’ve captured, he was sooooo good. I am seriously getting spoiled. Thanks, baby D, for being such a great model!

What a sweet little baby girl, Miss E is. Even at 3+ weeks old, she did a great job sleeping and cooperating with me. I think even her parents were pleasantly surprised. She was the perfect little model. You can really feel the love in their home, and it was a pleasure for me to meet them and capture their beautiful daughter. I can’t wait to work on the rest of the set!

So much to say about this wonderful family, I don’t know where to begin. Some people are just inherently good, and it shows, not just in their words, but with their actions: Small gestures, kind words when you need them the most, driving 3+ hours to be with me as I was sworn in to be a citizen earlier this year, or bigger ones like hours of hard work preparing food donations to be shipped to the hungry. They deserve all the happiness, and I am honored to be able to capture this milestone in their lives as they start a new chapter as a family together.

I can’t wait for their wedding in March, and I am so happy that our friend Amber will fly from California to capture their special day.

I’ll start with this seriously handsome 10 day old newborn. I love his cheeks, his fuzzy head, those kissable lips, and tiny toes. He was probably my easiest & sleepiest newborn to date. Here’s a little teaser for mom and dad…

It’s been a crazy busy season, and it’s almost winding down. I am about 20 kids and 10 families behind on the blog – so I might never catch up on that. Clients – you’ll be getting your galleries right in time for my Nov 20th order deadline, so please do not delay if you want those prints & products as Christmas gifts.

I am planning some exciting changes for next year, and I am really thrilled about all the possibilities. I attended two AMAZING workshops, and I can’t wait to put some of what I learned into play. I am thinking of creative ways to be more green – so I’ll be incorporating that into my work flow, and my product line. My poor website galleries are in desperate need for updates, so you’ll have to excuse the dust while I clean those up.

Also be on the lookout for the end of year contest, and some really exciting events at the beginning of the year. I am going to end this year with a bang of newborns – and I can’t wait to meet them all. I promise to be better about blogging sneaks, so don’t give up on my blog

Sorry my blog has been neglected for a few weeks. I was at a wonderful workshop last weekend, with the very awesome,Audrey Wouldard in Chicago. I am still trying to absorb all the information she shared, but that really warrants its own blog post (whenever I get caught up — January!?!?).

I had the pleasure of finally meeting E & A. Our crazy schedules just did not work, but I am glad they finally did this past Sunday. After days of cold and rain, we were blessed with a nice sunny day. She’s expecting a baby boy within a week or two or three – bets are on with the doctor With parents like them, he’s going to be a handsome one. I can’t wait to meet him!

I met Miss C this past weekend for her senior shoot. We walked around a couple of blocks in downtown Lexington, finding some cool backdrops and some very funky art. If you live in town and have never been to Third Street Stuff Cafe, you’re missing out. From the short time I spent with C, I can tell she’s dedicated, focused, fun, and beautiful.

I met this little beauty before she was born, and had the pleasure of photographing her again when she was only days old. She recently celebrated her first birthday, and I just couldn’t believe how grown she is. I still see the same cute chubby cheeks from a year ago, but that dark hair turned almost white blond, eyes are bright blue, she walks, and “talks” and handled the cold better than I did. What a fun girl.
